The Great Central Railway Journal was edited by a railway clerk working at Leicester Central station. The first issue was dated July 1905 and the last June 1918. Each Volume was made up of 12 monthly issues from July to June. Distribution was through agents at GCR locations and recipients paid 1/- for the standard issue and 2/- for the art paper issue per annum. The content was made up of topical news items and articles mainly by GCR employees on railway matters. There was also a corrspondence section.
